Parents: What would upset you most about your child turning out gay...?

I think your mom was just venting, and as time goes on, she will probably see the options that you have. Kudos to you for telling your mom, and kudos to her for not over-reacting! So many times, parents just throw in the towel and "disown" their kids. I think she may be adjusting from thinking about what SHE wanted for you, to thinking about what YOU want for you and viewing you as an adult who can make her own choices. Give her some space to mull it over; it will all work out in time.
