Which of these martial arts should I do?
You cannot go wrong with JUJITSU. It is a proven battle field combat art that has evolve to adapt to modern days attacks. A jujitsu practitioner do not specialize in an specific type of technique but learn the best and most effective techniques from Judo, Karate, Aikido and Kobudo. If you wanna become a SELF DEFENSE ENCYCLOPEDIA go with JUJITSU. You will learn self defense moves very quickly but it will take a lot of practice to polish them. The difference between jujitsu and other Martial arts as in Karate is that you spend too much time in doing katas and punching and kicking in the air. In jujitsu training you go right to the application of the self defense techniques with a partner in a concrete and realistic way. So to become proficient in self defense you don't have to learn 26 katas against imaginary opponents, instead you go right on to apply that knowledge with a live partner. Jujitsu is more concern with function and effectiveness over stylistic form or the way a certain movement looks. If it works and is effective to defend yourself that's what matters. In karate you most perform each imaginary kata movement in perfect precision and form since than is what judges will based your performance in a tournament or even for rank advancement.
